    [ltr]The former deputy prime minister for energy, Hussein al-Shahristani, failed to attend parliament on Monday, in response to a summons to investigate the allegations of corruption in the oil ministry.[/ltr]
    [ltr]Mawazine News obtained a document issued by an investigative committee in parliament, referring to the recall of the former deputy prime minister for energy affairs, Hussein al-Shahristani, to investigate him on allegations of corruption in the Ministry of Oil related to what was known as Una Oil.[/ltr]
    [ltr]The document, signed by the head of the investigative committee Mazen al-Mazni, stated that "a reference to the Parliamentary Order No. 13 of 2016 and the formation of a parliamentary committee to investigate the investigations and media reports conducted by Fairfax Media and the Huffington Post, In the Iraqi Ministry of Oil, with some of its senior staff, and for the purpose of completing the investigative procedures entrusted to the committee formed by the parliament.[/ltr]
    [ltr]"I would like to invite the former deputy prime minister for energy affairs, Hussein al-Shahristani, to attend the House of Representatives at 10 am on Monday, October 23, 2017, accompanied by all available data."[/ltr]
