Russia declares Putin's readiness to meet Trump on the sidelines of the summit, "APEC"
Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said Wednesday that President Vladimir Putin is ready to meet his US counterpart Donald Trump on the sidelines of the APEC summit in Vietnam.
"We hear statements by Donald Trump that he is planning to hold this meeting with President Putin, and the Protocol Department is discussing this issue and will inform you when the timetable for the two presidents is finalized," Lavrov said.
Lavrov said his meeting with his US counterpart Rex Tillerson might also take place during the summit.
He noted that he "plans to discuss bilateral Russian-American relations that require serious reforms with Tilerson," in addition to "the situation on North Korea and the Syrian settlement and the Palestinian-Israeli conflict and Ukraine."
