US oil production rises to its highest level since 1983

(Encyclopedia of this Day News | Iraq News ) - Direct: increased oil production in the United States over the past week, the highest level since 1983, in a move that may increase pressure on crude prices.
US oil production data showed Wednesday that US oil production rose 9.64 million barrels in the week ending Nov. 10, compared with 9.62 million barrels a week earlier.
The US administration also indicated that US oil inventories rose unexpectedly in the same period by 1.9 million barrels, against expectations of a 2.1 million barrel decline.
Oil fell at the close of trading today, with data on the rise in production and US stocks, recording Nymex crude, down by 0.7% at $ 55.33 per barrel.
By 9:15 pm GMT, the benchmark Brent crude for January delivery fell more than 0.6 percent to $ 61.81 a barrel.
The increase in US oil production comes amid expectations that the United States will become the world's top producer and exporter of crude in 2025, surpassing both Russia and Saudi Arabia.
