Iraq participates in Islamic Summit hosted by Cairo

A delegation headed by Iraqi Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki in the Islamic Summit to be held in Cairo on Wednesday and Thursday next. And transfer "the Brief to the Iraqi Media Network," a diplomatic source Iraqi official,
Unnamed, as saying that "al-Maliki will head the Iraqi delegation at the summit on behalf of President Jalal Talabani, who is currently undergoing a period of convalescence in Germany after undergoing a treatment program."
The source added that "Foreign Minister Hoshyar Zebari will represent Iraq in the meetings of the foreign ministers preparatory, which begins on Monday, such as Iraq in the initial preparations for the summit, which began on Saturday Ambassador Ahmed Bamarni Chairman of the Department of organizations in the Iraqi Foreign Ministry."

It also discusses the summit a number of economic issues, social and cultural development and to strengthen efforts to fight poverty and improve the living conditions of the Islamic general and ways to deal with them and protect the interests of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation and determine how to move forward to achieve these goals, according to the mechanisms of cooperation and coordination between Member States and the fight against terrorism and abide by the decisions of the Organization and disarmament.
