Kuwait confirms continued talks with Iraq on Khor Abdullah

KUWAIT CITY - Kuwait Ports Authority Director General Yousuf Al-Abdullah on Tuesday confirmed the continuation of talks with Iraq on the Khawr Abdullah aqueduct, pointing to the existence of initiatives to reload cargo from Kuwait to Iraq.
"Discussions on this matter are taking place at the highest level between the two countries," Al-Abdullah told Al-Anbaa newspaper, hoping that "there will be cooperation between the two neighboring countries."
"There are small initiatives that can re-ship goods from Kuwait to Iraq as Iraq needs more support in its war against Saddam," Abdullah said. Ending / 25
