Prime Minister Maliki to Visit the United States

Prime Minister H.E. Mr. Noori al-Maliki will visit the United States this week to meet with President Obama on Friday, for discussions on the importance of the U.S.-Iraq relationship under the Strategic Framework Agreement; in addition, ways to enhance cooperation in the many fields covered under the SFA. The Prime Minister and President Obama will also speak about the security relationship between the two countries and ways to combat terrorism, a concern of both Iraq and the United States.
The Prime Minister will also offer remarks and a discussion about the current challenges facing Iraq and the region at the United States Institute of Peace.
