A US magazine has revealed Saudi Arabia's unlimited support for spreading Wahhabi ideas in Asia and Africa that have been the cause of al-Qaeda and its fervor.
"Saudi Arabia published the Wahhabism movement for the purpose of eradicating Shiites in the region that spread recently after the Islamic revolution in Iran in 1979," Foreign Policy magazine said in a report. .
The newspaper said that the US administrations were supportive of the Saudi project to counter the occupation of the Soviets to Afghanistan and the Islamic revolution, which expanded and spread in the Middle East, noting that terrorism reached the United States and Europe, starting from Saudi Arabia, taking advantage of oil wealth with the holiest places in Islam.
The spread of Wahhabism in the Middle East has bolstered US influence in the region and has returned to the American and European peoples who have been drawn to the fire of terrorism that Arab governments have created and supported by Western regimes.
