Speaker Salim al-Jubouri left Iraq for the Egyptian capital Cairo on official invitation.
Al-Jubouri had received a delegation from the Jordanian Senate before leaving Baghdad.
The two sides reviewed the political situation in the Arab region, the depth of bilateral relations and the importance of continued cooperation between Iraq and the Kingdom, especially in the economic and investment fields, and supporting efforts to achieve common interests.
The two sides also discussed the efforts of the two countries in combating terrorism, supporting Arab issues, activating the factors of stability and economic development, and maintaining bilateral relations and developing bilateral relations in a way that achieves the aspirations of the two brotherly peoples according to the statement.
