MP Abdul Karim al-Naqib on Tuesday called on citizens not to listen to the promises made by candidates in election days, because most of them are not honest. He said that those who did not do anything before the elections will not do anything after that.
"Some candidates have large amounts of money, and often their sources are illegal, and they came from stealing public money," he told reporters. "These funds are being used today to buy votes."
"The Commission must take action to withdraw the nomination of the person from the elections, in the event of violation of the conditions of election propaganda, and not punished, there are those who have funds and are willing to pay the fine."
And acknowledged that there are external funds entered Iraq to support candidates and political blocs, in order to influence the Iraqi political decision.
"There is political money injected into these elections, through the size of election propaganda, buying votes, doing some projects, giving gifts and money, which is happening in many areas," he said.
