    Basra Governorate Council announced on Thursday that the debt owed by the province to the contractors for the projects implemented 180 billion dinars, indicating that there is a plan to spend 30% of their dues during the current days.
    Council member Ahmed Abdul Hussein told Al-Mawloma that "there are large amounts in the province of contractors for projects implemented earlier and have not yet been paid because of the financial crisis and the failure of the central government to pay the money that it made to Basra."
    He added that "the total of these funds up to nearly 180 billion dinars, most of which previous projects have not been paid so far," noting that "the province has a plan to spend 30% of the dues of contractors, amounting to nearly 80 billion dinars in the coming days after the acquisition From Baghdad. "
