Iran says Opec deal does not include increased production
Iran's oil minister, Begin Zengane, said on Tuesday OPEC's agreement last week did not include an increase in production as interpreted by some members.
"Iran's proposal was to budget the oil market first and to reach the commitment of the members to the agreement to 100 percent and then decide to increase production at the next meeting if necessary," the Iranian Oil Ministry's information website quoted Zangneh as saying.
He added that Iran's proposal was accepted during the recent OPEC summit and that "if a country has a different interpretation of this agreement, Iran will formally refer it to OPEC."
