TEHRAN (Reuters) - Iranian parliamentarians have threatened to isolate President Hassan Rowhani as turbulence escalated in the Iranian capital Tehran and took a more pronounced economic toll in the Tehran Bazaar demonstrations as middle-class traders entered the line of protests and strikes, the local currency collapsed and poverty worsened.

The strike in Tehran took its third day, and other cities, including Arak, Shiraz, Karamanshah, Tabriz and Isfahan, joined in. The mullahs' regime is trying to absorb the anger of the street by promising to kill the government.

Parliamentarians called on Rowhani to amend his economic team, accusing him of failing to solve Iran's problems. Seventy-one deputies, 15-day-old, signed a new economic policy to parliament, threatening to remove him from office.

In the past week, the riyal has weakened to record lows against the US dollar, which has fueled the already tense internal situation, and Tehran is trying to describe what is happening as a psychological war and media propaganda.
