    Kuwait announces maximum alert on Iraqi border and cancels flights to Najaf

    The Kuwaiti Interior Ministry announced on Saturday the state of maximum alert on the northern border, while sources said that the security forces deployed "precautionary" because of the events and demonstrations taking place in southern Iraq.
    On Friday evening, demonstrators stormed Najaf International Airport to protest against the deterioration of services, most notably the near-total interruption of electricity.
    Kuwait Airways also canceled its flights to the Iraqi city of Najaf from Saturday until further notice due to the current security conditions at Najaf airport.
    Kuwait Airways said it would change bookings for other flights to Najaf, or return tickets without charge to customers.
    The Najaf police headquarters decided to impose a curfew on the backdrop of demonstrations in the province and the accompanying riots and assault on public property, and after the imposition of security at the airport and the exit of the demonstrators decided to lift the ban.

    Kuwait Airways canceled its flights to the Iraqi city of Najaf from Saturday until further notice due to the current security conditions at Najaf airport.
    Kuwait Airways said it would change bookings for other flights to Najaf, or return tickets without charge to customers.
    The Interior Ministry also announced the state of maximum alert on the northern border, and sources said that the Interior Security forces deployed "precautionary" because of the events and demonstrations taking place in southern Iraq.
    Demonstrators stormed last night at Najaf International Airport in Iraq to protest the deterioration of services, most notably the almost complete interruption of electricity.
    Witnesses said that dozens of demonstrators, some of them carrying flags of Iraq, deployed in the halls and the airport corridor, which is located in the province of Najaf, and distributed to all the halls shouting slogans calling for the expulsion of corrupt.

    Kuwaiti security sources revealed that the competent authorities freely and in real time follow up what is happening in Iraq in cooperation and coordination with the Iraqi authorities.
     
    The source stressed that the situation on the border between the two countries is very stable, but for more caution, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of the Interior moved about 400 officers and noncommissioned officers to Abdali.
     
    The source reiterated that what is happening in Iraq is an internal matter and that the actions of Kuwait aim at the safety of the border. 

    The National Guard also took action for the same reasons.
     
    Kuwait Airways canceled its flights to the city of Najaf (KU521) from Saturday 14/7/2018 until further notice due to the current security conditions at Najaf airport. 

    She said either she would change the booking for other flights or pay back the tickets for free.

    This is not going to stop the RV.  The CBI is on course, even with the unrest, etc., articles are coming out about being international and their banking and the MC and Visa.

    I understand, this is not a surprise to the goi, the cbi or any other world government.  The CBI continues, how many times have we seen the riots, etc. and yet the progress continues.

    I don't think the unrest will stop the RV, if nothing else might make them move faster as the natives are getting restless. No electricity and no jobs. Gear up the economy with the RV. Make the natives happy, therefore quieten the riots.

    how many times have we seen the RV, because all of Iraq is unstable they need the gov seated an take control for Iraq to be able to achieve art 8
