The Director General of the Office of Foreign Trade Services of the Organization for Trade Development of Iran Farhad Nuri, Friday (November 30, 2018) Iraq's first trading partner to Iran, revealing the value of Iranian exports to Iraq during the past 7 months of this year, while noting that some Iranian goods are still Exports to European markets despite US sanctions.
"Iraq is Iran's first trading partner and we have good exports to this country," Nuri said in a statement to the official Tasnim news agency.
"During the seven months of this year, 5.5 to 6 billion dollars of different goods were exported to Iraq through border markets," he said.
"Neighboring countries' markets account for 80 percent of the main goal of Iranian goods exports and European markets have never been a major target for Iranian goods exports," he said.
"Some Iranian goods are still exported to European markets despite the imposition of sanctions on Iran by America," said the director general of the Foreign Trade Services Office of the Iranian Trade Development Organization.
