[rtl]US President Donald Trump has denied a New York Times report that his administration is considering the appointment of Democrat Jim Webb as defense minister.[/rtl]
[rtl]"I'm sure he's a good man, but I do not know Jim and I've never met him," Trump wrote on Twitter, "The New York Times story," that the appointment of Webb as secretary of defense is currently under consideration. Great job! "[/rtl]
[rtl]The New York Times reported earlier that the Trump administration was considering the nomination of Jim Webb, who served as Secretary of State under Ronald Reagan, to take over the defense portfolio.[/rtl]
