The Prime Minister Adel Abdul Mahdi ordered an investigation into information indicating the issuance of an administrative order by the Director General of the Civil Aviation Authority to appoint a person in the position of Deputy Director General of the Authority under the threat of intimidation.
Abdul Mahdi said in an official statement issued by his press office today, "the administrative action relating to the post of Deputy Chairman of the Authority frozen and not in force, and continue to work in previous contexts until the completion of the investigation and ascertain."
The statement added that Abdul Mahdi "directed to take the necessary measures and the imposition of the most severe sanctions by anyone who uses the threat or uses his powers to compel citizens or institutions of the State to carry out actions contrary to law and order."
