    Baghdad / ... The Committee on Agriculture and Water in the House of Representatives, on Sunday, the government to activate the law to protect the agricultural calendar and local products of all kinds.

    "The government and the concerned parties should prevent the entry of agricultural products in particular, which conflict with the local product and activate Law No. 11 of 2010 on the protection of local agricultural, industrial and animal products," committee member Salam al-Shammari said in a statement.

    Al-Shammari stressed the need for "the government to support and support the local product of all kinds of animal wealth of fish, poultry, fruits, vegetables and other products, and to prevent the import of the local product."

    The law is in line with the new changes that have occurred in the Iraqi economy and the opening up of markets to international trade and for the purpose of building a national industry and to avoid harm caused by harmful practices of policies dumping markets products or unjustified increases in imports or imported products supported by exporting countries to the Republic Iraq, leading to the loss of fair competition conditions and for the purpose of taking appropriate measures to protect Iraqi products and local producers
