BAGHDAD (Reuters) - US House of Representatives Speaker Mohammad al-Halbusi's visit to Washington has discussed economic issues and is unlikely to mediate with Washington to allow Iraq to trade economically with the Islamic republic, political analyst Abbas al-Ardawi said on Thursday.
"The al-Fatah and al-Madinah allies are involved in the draft of the withdrawal of US forces," al-Aredawi said. "There is also a clear parliamentary movement in order to pass a law to completely remove US forces from Iraq."
He added that "the implementation of the removal of US forces from Iraq needs to schedule and a deadline, and despite the statements of Parliament Speaker Mohamed Halaboussi, who apologized on his return, but there is strong movement within the parliament to get them out."
Al-Ardawi said that "Halabousi discussed a series of economic files in Washington, but it is unlikely to be a mediator to lift the sanctions on the Islamic Republic in Iraq, as Baghdad is far from the morals and linked with Tehran economic agreements and close cooperation between the two countries."Ending / 25 n
