    The Supreme Federal Court appealed the law (Samarra, the capital of Iraq for Islamic civilization) for violating another law, saying that the consideration of the conflict of two laws out of their competence.

    "The Federal Supreme Court held its session under the chairmanship of Judge Medhat al-Mahmoud and the presence of all the members of the judiciary. The prosecutor, the president of the republic and the speaker of the House of Representatives, considered a suit in addition to their job," spokesman Ayas al-Samuk said in a statement.

    He added that "the plaintiff requested the abolition of Law No. (5) for the year 2018 (the law of Samarra, the capital of Iraq for Islamic civilization) for his opposition to the Law of Antiquities and Heritage No. (55) for the year 2002.

    He pointed out that "the court found, that directing the dispute to the President of the Republic / in addition to his function is not supported by the law; because it is not the law is the subject of the prosecution."

    He pointed out that "the court confirmed that the plaintiff did not show the violation of the law that is the subject of the appeal of the Constitution only contradicts some of its provisions with a previous law, and therefore the lawsuit is not directed in part to a legal direction for the President of the Republic / in addition to his job, and the allegation of a conflict between the laws of Without prejudice to the Constitution out of consideration of the jurisdiction of the Supreme Federal Court provided for in Article (93) of the Constitution, so it was decided to return the case on both sides of the dispute and jurisdiction.
