Secretary General of the Islamic Union of Turkmen revealed [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] Jassim Mohammed Jaafar, Prime Minister [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] told the Kurds reject their candidate for the post of governor of Kirkuk, stressing that Abdul - Mahdi did not give any concession to the Kurds regarding Kirkuk.
"Prime Minister [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] told the Kurds his refusal to support their candidate for the post of governor of Kirkuk because he did not have the support of the rest of Kirkuk components, " Jaafar said in televised remarks .
Jaafar added, "Abdul Mahdi did not make any concession to the Kurds on Kirkuk," pointing out that "the return of Peshmerga forces to the province of Kirkuk is unlikely."
On July 11, the two Kurdish parties, the National Union and Democracy, announced that they had reached an agreement to nominate Tayeb Jabbar Amin for the post of governor of Kirkuk. Done / 25
