Baghdad - Mawazine News, a
member of the House of Representatives, Star Star al-Atabi, warned on Sunday of popular anger over the repeated candidacy of political figures.
Al-Atabi said, “Representatives have authorized the President of the Republic to listen to the voice of the people and his strong candidate to take over the presidency of the next government,” expressing his “rejection of the news that spoke of the nomination of a political figure belonging to one of the blocs.”
He stressed, "The political blocs, if you do not understand the danger coming from the demonstration arenas, then the people will say their next word inside the (parliament)."
Al-Atabi said that it is possible to nominate independent personalities who do not carry dual nationalities and have no previous political position, while the repeated candidacy of political figures, demonstrators can get angry and alienate from the actions that politicians commit and things can go after what they do.
