, the official of the Department of Exports of Goods and Services at the Iranian Trade Development Organization, Farhad Nuri, announced that the volume of foreign trade reached $ 60 billion during the past nine months.
During a meeting held in the city of Rasht to honor the exemplary exporters in the northern Iranian province of Kilan, Nuri said, "The volume of foreign trade with Iran has reached $ 60 billion (since March 21, 2019) until now despite the embargo and economic pressure imposed on the country."
He added that "the majority of exports were to China, Iraq, the UAE, Afghanistan and Turkey, while Turkey, the UAE and Germany are Iran's largest import partners."
He explained that "75 percent of the country's exports are carried out within the framework of 15 commodity groups to 5 countries only, so we hope that in light of the government's actions and the efforts of the private sector and exporters to increase the diversification of commodity exports to more countries of the world."
