    (Baghdad: Al Furat News) The Tahrir Square in the center of the capital, Baghdad, is now witnessing a calm and relative calm in the movement of protesters.

    [rtl]A source familiar with {Al Furat News} stated that “the atmosphere of the demonstrations is stable in Tahrir Square, and there is flow in the protesters’ movement. ”[/rtl]


    [rtl]Popular protests have escalated recently in Baghdad and the provinces.[/rtl]


    [rtl]And renewed confrontations between the security forces and protesters in the courtyards of al-Kilani, al-Tayaran, al-Wathba, and al-Sanak, in addition to the Muhammad al-Qasim highway in Baghdad.[/rtl]


    [rtl]The southern governorates also witnessed widespread protests, accompanied by the cutting of roads by burning tires.[/rtl]


    [rtl]On Tuesday, the High Commissioner for Human Rights in Iraq announced that it had documented, through its monitoring teams deployed in the demonstration squares of Baghdad and a number of governorates, the ongoing demonstrations, and the unfortunate events that accompanied them, causing casualties and arrests as a result of clashes between protesters and security forces.[/rtl]


    [rtl]According to the UNHCR statement, the number of martyrs and wounded in the capital (Baghdad) reached (4) martyrs, wounding (85) demonstrators, and arresting (36) demonstrators. The Commission also documented the death of (1) demonstrators and wounding (3) in Diyala governorate, and in the governorate of (Basra), the clashes between the demonstrators and the security forces resulted in the death of (3) demonstrators, the injury of (1) demonstrators and (24) security forces, and the arrest of (22) demonstrators, and in Dhi Qar Governorate, the clashes injured (8) demonstrators, either in the governorate (Holy Karbala) The result was the martyrdom of (2) demonstrators, wounding (18) demonstrators, and the arrest of (30) others. "[/rtl]
