Allawi forms his government away from the political blocs
An Iraqi party leader revealed that Prime Minister-designate Muhammad Allawi will not hold any dialogues with political blocs on the composition of his government.
Deputy Muhammad al-Khalidi, head of the Bayraq al-Khair party, said in a special statement to PUKmedia , that the Prime Minister-designate Allawi will not consult with any political bloc and will present the names of members of his ministry, which will be independent, indicating that Allawi agreed with the political blocs on this mechanism to form the new government.
He added that Allawi told all the blocs that he will not take any candidate from them for positions in his government and that his government will be independent, and depends on the efficiency and integrity in the candidates for the ministries.
The President of the Republic, Dr. Barham Salih, commissioned Muhammad Tawfiq Allawi to form the new government on Saturday, February 1, 2020.
