Egyptian Foreign Minister, Sameh Shoukry, affirmed [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] keenness on the security and stability of Iraq, expressing the aspiration for the speedy formation of the new Iraqi government to meet the aspirations of the Iraqi people, and strengthening the role of [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] Arab and regional, as a basic pillar for the stability of the region.
This came during Shukry's meeting yesterday with his Iraqi counterpart, Muhammad Ali Al-Hakim, to follow the path of strengthening bilateral cooperation relations between the two countries, and discuss developments of regional conditions, on the sidelines of participation in the activities of the 56th Munich Security Conference.
The Egyptian Foreign Ministry spokesman, Counselor Ahmed Hafez, said that the meeting dealt with ways to enhance the path of bilateral cooperation and the latest developments on the regional scene, especially the developments related to the Palestinian issue and the situation in Syria, where the emphasis on the need to stop regional interventions in the internal affairs of Arab countries with a view to exercising Regional influence, and the implications of those practices for the security and stability of the region.
