A security source in Anbar province said today that the American forces arrested a leader of the Popular Mobilization during an airdrop operation carried out in Al-Baghdadi district, west of the province.
The source said in a press interview, "An American airborne force carried out an airdrop in the early hours of dawn today, in the Al-Baghdadi district of the Heat district, during which it arrested the leader of the Anbar crowd, Muadi Al-Ubaidi."
The source added, "Al-Ubaidi is the sheikh of the Albu Ubaid clan in Anbar, one of the most important leaders of the popular crowd in the western regions, and among the figures who fought terrorism and has honorable stances in combating ISIS ideology."
The source pointed out that "the security forces stationed in the Al-Baghdadi side have no information about the reasons for the arrest of Al-Ubaidi."
