, political sources close to the government formation talks revealed, Monday, that the Seven Committee will discuss 31 candidates for prime minister and ended with the selection of four candidates.
The sources said, "The Seven Committee discussed about 31 names nominated for the presidency of the government, but it ended with the selection of four names. They are Muhammad Shia'a Al-Sudani, the current deputy and former Minister of Labor and Social Affairs, Ali Al-Shukri, the Senior Adviser to the President of the Republic, the former Minister of Planning, and Ambassador Luqman Philly and Naim Al-Suhail."
The source pointed out, "While each member of the committee has the right to object, there must be a consensus on any name, which has made matters more complicated."
He pointed out, "In light of the inability to agree on any of these names, it was decided to submit all of them to the leadership committee of the Shiite alliance to decide what it deems appropriate." Ended 29 / A 43
