The Ministry of Electricity confirmed, on Saturday, that the electricity sector annually costs the state 12 billion dollars.
"The electricity sector costs the state annually 12 billion dollars," said ministry spokesman Ahmed al-Abadi.
Al-Abadi called for "citizens to" commit to paying the levies that are primarily subsidized by the government at 94%.
