The Commission: 30 coalitions and 106 parties have registered so far to participate in the elections

The High Elections Commission announced, on Wednesday, that the number of coalitions approved to participate in the elections has reached 30, while the number of parties applying to participate in the elections has reached 106.
"The number of parties registered with the Electoral Commission and which has a certificate of incorporation in Iraq reached 249 parties," the spokesman for the High Electoral Commission, Jumana Al-Ghalai, told / Al-Maalouma.
She added that "there are 60 other parties that were formed and submitted to obtain a certificate of incorporation and in progress," noting that "the number of parties that formally applied to participate in the elections from the registered parties reached 106."
"The number of alliances registered to participate in the elections amounted to 30 coalitions, while 10 alliances advanced and procedures are still being completed," Al-Ghalai explained.
