    On Monday, the Oil Drilling Company announced its intention to conclude contracts with Chinese and American companies to drill and rehabilitate dozens of wells in the country.
    The general manager of the company, Basem Abdul Karim, said in a press interview, "The Ministry of Oil and the company are considering concluding drilling work contracts with Chinese and American companies operating in Iraq, as drilling and service contracts to take advantage of the modern capabilities to raise the technical level of his company."
    He added, "The company is about to start digging 20 wells in the Nasiriya field in Dhi Qar governorate," indicating that it is "included in a long-term plan with the Dhi Qar Oil Company to advance the sector, with a completion period of more than two years."
    Abdul Karim explained that his company, after the relative relaxation of the repercussions of Virus Corona, resumed its negotiations with the international companies developing the oil fields in the country and their counterparts affiliated with the Ministry in the governorates, in preparation for signing the postponed contracts with the aim of enhancing the country's energy capabilities.
    He stated, "The drilling and rehabilitation contracts, which are hoped to be concluded soon, included drilling 37 wells in the Zubair field for the Italian company (ENI), the main operator of the field, and starting discussions with the main contractor (BP) for the Rumaila field to develop the giant field west of Basra
    . "
    The Director General of the Iraqi Drilling Company announced, "The signing of a contract for drilling 43 oil wells in the Majnoon field with the Basra Oil Company, which is the third largest oil field in the world, with reserves amounting to 6.12 billion barrels."
    Abdul Karim stated, "his company has completed all its preparations to sign a contract with the Middle Oil Company, to drill 27 wells in the East Baghdad field with direct contracts. It is also continuing its discussions with the Maysan Oil Company to sign a contract to drill 22 wells and to drill 22 wells in the field. Operating a number of drilling towers with the North Oil Company, as well as rehabilitating a large number of wells in Kirkuk fields.
