Parliamentary Agriculture announces the holding of a conference to support the local product next week

The Parliamentary Committee on Agriculture, Water and Marshlands announced, on Tuesday, that a conference will be held to support the local agricultural product next week, indicating that the conference will be attended by three ministers.
The head of the committee, MP Salam Al-Shammari, said in a statement received by "Al-Eqtisad News", that "supporting farmers and farmers, land reclamation, preventing foreign import, and introducing modern irrigation supplies are parliamentary and governmental priorities," pointing out that "there are preparations for holding an expanded conference under the slogan (planting in Iraq) early next week to be followed by another conference on the industrial sector.
He added that "the conference on agriculture will be attended by the ministers of agriculture, water resources, and trade, the advisory body in the Council of Ministers, and agricultural associations in Iraq," noting that "the aim of the conference is to advance the agricultural sector, and to emphasize the importance of introducing modern irrigation systems and their role in rationalization."
