Shafaq News / Today, Thursday, the Parliamentary Finance Committee described the benefits of the advances and loans of the Rafidain Bank as "obscene" and imaginary, asking the bank and the Ministry of Finance to re-work the electronic submission of advances and loans to avoid an epidemic disaster.
A member of the committee, Ahmad Mazhar Al-Jubouri, told Shafaq News; He has received many and continuous complaints about the mechanisms of granting advances to employees by Al-Rafidain Bank due to the slow mechanisms and the outrageous benefits of the advances, in addition to canceling electronic submission and forcing employees to dangerous gatherings that may lead to an increase in Corona infections and the occurrence of epidemic disasters.
And between Al-Jubouri; Al-Rafidain Bank has canceled the electronic submission and returns to submit a transaction and write continuity, red tape, intermediaries and bribes, and this is a violation of the contract concluded between Al-Rafidain and the ministries residing in it.
Al-Jubouri criticized the high and fictional interest rates resulting from the advances, which amount to 9%, as the interest rate of a loan loan is 5 million. Two million 700 thousand dinars, 6 million dinars on the 10 million loan, 8 million dinars on the 15 million loan, 10 million dinars on the 20 million loan, and 13 million dinars on the 25 million loan.
Al-Jubouri pointed out to the great difficulties and obstacles that Rafidain Bank placed in front of loan and advance applicants, most notably the cancellation of employee advances at 5 and 10 million dinars only, and the return to old mechanisms and complex procedures in exchange for disrupting the interest of the Master Card and emptying it of all benefits to employees.
He added that "the policy and practices of Al-Rafidain Bank have paid employees in need of living and healthy conditions to borrow from civil offices that take obscene usury and defraud the employee, and many problems are now occurring because of the Rafidain Bank and the impediments and mechanisms adopted by some offices and brokers stealing salaries and defrauding the needy employees."
A member of Parliamentary Finance called on the Ministry of Finance and the Rafidain Bank, to reconsider the mechanisms of advances and facilitate their procedures for citizens in light of the worsening health and financial crisis afflicting the country, stressing the need to reduce interest rates and raise the ceiling of financial advances to secure the life and living needs of employees.
