    Today, Saturday, Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein announced the outcomes of his meeting with the Secretary-General of the League of Arab States, Ahmed Aboul Gheit, in Baghdad.
    The foreign minister said in a joint press conference from Aboul Gheit, which was followed by the National News Center, that he “discussed with Aboul Gheit the situation of the region and the relationship of Iraq with the Arab League,” adding that he “also discussed the results of Iraq's foreign visits.”
    Hussein pointed out that he "discussed with Aboul Gheit the prime minister's visit to some Gulf countries," explaining that he "discussed Iraq's relationship with Turkey and Iran and the situation in Syria."
    For his part, Aboul Gheit said that "the Arab League will host the Iraqi leadership," stressing that "the Arab League is under the command of Iraq in a way that secures its interests."
