The United States provides a financial grant to protect Kurdistan's antiquities
The United States provided a financial grant in the amount of "500 thousand dollars" to protect the antiquities and heritage of the Amidi district of Dohuk governorate.
The Consulate General in Erbil stated, during a statement, followed by PUKmedia : The US Consul, Rob Waller, during his visit to Amedi District, announced the provision of a US State Department grant for Badinan Gate in the amount of 500 thousand dollars in order to protect and renew the history and heritage of the city.
She added: "The American government expresses its pleasure at the work of our Kurdish friends," hoping that the grant will be a new bridge to strengthen relations between the American people and the Kurdistan Region.
And she emphasized that providing the grant, apart from being a service to humanity, at the same time, is an aid to revive Amidi from an economic point of view.
