Mayor of Baghdad discusses with the Tunisian ambassador projects for twinning between the two capitals

{Local: Al Furat News} Mayor of Baghdad Al-Mimar Alaa Maan discussed today, Thursday, with the Tunisian Ambassador to Iraq, Reda Zguidan, prospects for cooperation between the two sides and ways to strengthen bilateral relations.
A statement to the media of the Municipality of Baghdad, which {Euphrates News} received a copy of, stated, "The Mayor of Baghdad met the Tunisian ambassador in his office and discussed bilateral relations between Baghdad and the capital, Tunis, and keenness to establish an exemplary relationship based on rapprochement and brotherly ties between the two capitals."
He added, "The Mayor of Baghdad called for opening horizons for cooperation between the two countries in the field of preserving sites and buildings of a historical and heritage nature and exchanging experiences between the two countries in this regard."
For his part, Zguidan expressed his country's interest in strengthening bilateral relations between the two sides and benefiting from the experience of the city of Kairouan in preserving the heritage role, reviving handicrafts and heritage, and seeking twinning between the two capitals, Baghdad and Tunisia.
And Zguidan, "his country's pursuit of trade exchange between Iraq and Tunisia, and interest in construction and reconstruction operations in Iraq."
