Al-Maliki said in a tweet on Twitter: "The elections will take place on their scheduled date on 10/10/2021, and the position of the forces that announced their non-participation is respectable, but it is their own position and may not be imposed on the opinion of the majority interacting with the early elections and on their specified date."
"The early elections are a reference and popular demand, and the government must create the security conditions for their success," he added.
