{Economic: Al Furat News} Minister of Commerce Alaa Al-Jubouri discussed today, Wednesday, with his Turkish counterpart, the establishment of joint exhibitions and the formation of committees to develop economic relations in all fields.
A statement of Iraqi trade said, "Al-Furat News Agency" received a copy of it, that "the Minister of Trade, Alaa Al-Jubouri, met today with his Turkish counterpart, Muhammed Mush, who arrived at Baghdad International Airport this morning on an official visit during which he met the three presidencies."
Al-Jubouri stressed, during the meeting, "Iraq's desire to develop its economic and trade relations with Turkey, as well as the desire to increase the volume of trade exchange between the two countries to reach greater levels."
He added, "Iraq wants Turkish companies to set up specialized exhibitions in Baghdad and the provinces, as well as the importance of developing relations and exchanging experiences through the private sector in both countries, in a way that contributes to the establishment of joint economic and urban projects that contribute to building and rehabilitating infrastructure, as well as assessing Iraq's need for projects in various fields".
He pointed out, "the importance of entering Turkish goods through official outlets, as this contributes to keeping them away from the legal procedures that are taken against goods in violation of the law."
For his part, the Turkish minister expressed his happiness at visiting Iraq, stressing "the Turkish desire to increase the volume of trade exchange with Iraq and the possibility of contributing with the Iraqi private sector in establishing joint projects."
And he indicated, "The meeting resulted in the formation of joint committees to resolve contentious issues and find a common vision that contributes to developing economic relations and sets broad lines to advance them for the better."
