On Thursday, the Ministry of Interior denied the misleading news published on social media calling on the security forces in the Ministries of Defense and Interior to boycott the elections.
And the ministry stated in a statement received by NRT Arabic, a copy of it, (September 30, 2021), that “misleading news spread on social media calling on the security forces in the Ministries of Defense and Interior to boycott the elections, and we, in turn, deny these repercussions and the security forces in all their joints, including officers and affiliates They are very keen to cast their electoral votes and change for the better to guarantee their rights and the future of their children."
The statement added, "We want to make it clear that such news wants to take away the rights of the affiliates and deprive them of practicing the democratic process in Iraq."
