    [rtl]Today, Wednesday, the Ministry of Industry and Minerals announced the production of more than 500 locally manufactured products with standard specifications, while it complained about the reluctance of government institutions and state departments to secure their needs .[/rtl]
    [rtl]The ministry's media office said, in a statement to the official news agency, that "the Ministry of Industry and Minerals is a basic pillar of industrial policy in Iraq through the management and development of government companies, in addition to supporting and attributing private and mixed sector companies," noting that "the ministry is responsible for managing 28 public companies and 176 companies." A laboratory for various light and heavy industries such as chemical, construction, textile, pharmaceutical, petrochemical, extractive and others .”[/rtl]
    [rtl]The office added, "These assortments produce nearly 500 different products, all of which have an added value of more than 30% and with standard specifications approved by the Central Organization for Standardization and Quality Control ."[/rtl]
    [rtl]He continued, "However, the ministry and its formations suffer from the reluctance of government institutions and other state departments to secure their needs from the ministry and resort instead to importing or contracting with unsound local bodies to provide products and services, most of which do not conform to specifications and have a higher cost in hard currency despite the presence of an explicit material It is clear in the federal budget that all state departments are obligated to secure their needs from the Ministry of Industry, provided that the added value is more than 30% .[/rtl]
    [rtl]He pointed out that "the ministry also suffers from the failure to activate the application of the Domestic Product Protection Law No. 11 of 2010 as well as Consumer Protection Law No. 1 of 2010 and the dumping of local markets with inferior foreign products due to the lack of serious follow-up by the concerned authorities in customs departments, border crossings and others ."[/rtl]
    [rtl]He pointed out that "the lack of financial allocations to the Ministry that is allocated in the annual budget, which reflects negatively on the development and modernization of production lines and the continuous improvement of product quality in line with the industrial development globally ."[/rtl]
