[size=45]On Tuesday, the Iraqi Minister of Communications, Arkan Al-Shaibani, announced that he had achieved a great leap in his ranking regarding Internet service globally.[/size]
[size=45]In his speech during the Iraq Conference and Exhibition Towards Digital Transformation and Artificial Intelligence, Al-Shaibani said that "the ministry worked to develop the telecommunications sector, as Iraq's ranking regarding internet service was 138 globally and now it has become 47 globally, and this is a boom in this sector."[/size]
[size=45]He added that "the smuggling of Internet capacities was eliminated within one year, and the international capacities were doubled, in addition to the establishment of large projects," noting that "the ministry announced the satellite."[/size]
[size=45]He stressed that "the issue of the Internet of transit through Iraq will put the country on the right map," praising "the role of the Media and Communications Commission, and they are partners in all the successes."[/size]
[size=45]He continued, "We will work on the last day of the government's life to serve the country and the citizen who has suffered from delayed services."[/size]
[size=45]In this context, the Media and Communications Commission announced that 1,500 Iraqi schools will be provided with Internet services to help digital transformation of school curricula during the Corona pandemic period.[/size]
[size=45]The head of the authority, Ali Al-Moayad, said, at the Iraq Conference and Exhibition towards Digital Transformation and Artificial Intelligence, that "the ministry worked, in partnership with UNESCO, to provide 1,500 Iraqi schools with Internet services to help digitally transform curricula and study programmes."[/size]
[size=45]He added, "During the Corona pandemic, the authority, in cooperation with the competent health authorities, sent 921 million awareness text messages to citizens, in addition to designing and distributing 20,000 health awareness publications on social media and digital media platforms."[/size]
[size=45]He pointed out that "more than 17,000 towers with advanced technologies have been published and updated in all Iraqi governorates, in order to meet the increasing demand for fourth-generation services."[/size]
[size=45]He stressed that "during the current year, you will witness a great development in the field of communications, after the adoption of 45 global standards for the purpose of measuring the quality of mobile communications services."[/size]
