Shafaq News/ The Prime Minister of Kurdistan Regional Government, Masrour Barzani met today, Tuesday, with a delegation from the American - Kurdistan Business Council and representatives of a number of American companies.
At the beginning of the meeting, the representative of the Kurdistan Regional Government to America, Bayan Sami Abdul Rahman, presented a summary of the objectives of the visit of the trade delegation, which was conducted in coordination with the representation of the Kurdistan Regional Government in America and the American-Kurdistan Business Council, which included representatives of 12 different American companies in the fields of food, energy, technology and housing. .
A statement issued by the Kurdistan Regional Government stated that the Prime Minister highlighted the reforms initiated by the Kurdistan Regional Government at various levels, and its main goal is to diversify sources of income and establish a solid economic structure in the Kurdistan Region.
The Prime Minister referred to the relations between the Kurdistan Region and the federal government, stressing the importance of solving problems under the constitution.
Masrour Barzani reiterated that the Federal Supreme Court's decision regarding the oil and gas law in the Kurdistan Region is unconstitutional and violates the constitutional rights of the people of Kurdistan and is not in the interest of the Iraqi people.
He added: "We will not give up our constitutional rights at all, and at the same time we will continue dialogue and negotiation with the federal government to reach a comprehensive and constitutional solution to the outstanding problems."
At the conclusion of the meeting, representatives of American companies reviewed their work and programs in the Kurdistan Region and Iraq, according to the statement.
