The Central Anti-Corruption Criminal Court in Baghdad's Karkh Appeal Presidency issued, on Wednesday, a 7-year prison sentence for the director of the Projects Department in Nineveh Governorate for "causing harm to the entity in which he works."
The media center of the Supreme Judicial Council stated in a statement received by Mawazine News, that "the fugitive is a member of the Main Relief Committee and the committees for receiving the work of establishing the camps, where he received with the rest of the members an amount of (five billion Iraqi dinars) allocated to build the infrastructure of those camps, accompanied by violations. in the disbursement process.
The statement added, "The Central Anti-Corruption Criminal Court issued its decision to sentence the fugitive accused to a temporary imprisonment of seven years, based on the provisions of Article 340 and in the meaning of Articles (47, 48 and 49) of the amended Penal Code No. 111 of 1969."
