Today, Monday, the Director General of Railways, Talib Jawad Kazem Al-Husseini (Chairman of the Development and Advancement Committee of the company), held a delegation of the Chinese company Norinco, in the presence of specialists from both sides, to discuss the study of investment and future railway projects.
A transport statement stated, "The study was highlighted by Norinco Company in the implementation of the vital investment project for the railway (Najaf / Holy Karbala), to develop the reality of Iraq's railways in all its aspects by implementing its investment and future projects by sober international companies according to controls and assets. of the investment law.
The Director General of Railways gave a "detailed explanation of the most important investment and future plans and projects and the desire to develop and advance them through their implementation to keep pace with the development taking place in the advanced countries in the rail sector that has economic feasibility in transporting all goods and travelers."
The statement added that "it was agreed between the two parties to continue efforts regarding the study of the implementation of this project and to determine an upcoming meeting between the two parties in Baghdad at the railway company headquarters in the near future."
