The President of the Republic, Barham Salih, affirmed, today, Monday, the depth of bilateral relations with Iran.
The Media Office of the Presidency of the Republic said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "the President of the Republic, Barham Salih, received at the Peace Palace in Baghdad, the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Iraq, Iraj Masjedi, on the occasion of the end of his work."
The President of the Republic commended Ambassador Masjedi's efforts during his tenure in Iraq to develop relations between the two countries, wishing him success in his future assignments.
He stressed "the depth of bilateral relations between the two friendly countries and peoples, and the importance of working to develop and develop them in various fields in a manner that serves the common interests of the two countries."
For his part, Ambassador Masjedi affirmed the Islamic Republic of Iran's support "for the security and stability of Iraq, and the strengthening of economic and social relations that unite the two neighboring countries and peoples."
