A Brazilian company obtains licenses to export chicken and turkey to Iraq
Shafaq News/ The Brazilian BRF Food Company announced that it had obtained new licenses and renewed its old licenses, in order to sell its chicken and turkey products in the Iraqi market.
The company said in a statement that "most of these permits and renewals are for the sale of poultry, but there are some factories that will be able to export turkey meat and meat covered with rusks - albany."
And she added, "It obtained licenses and license renewals for eight factories that were authorized to export their products to Iraq, five units obtained new licenses and three units whose licenses were renewed," noting that "most of these permits are for the export of chicken, but there are two units that will also be able to export rooster meat. According to BRF's Executive Director of International Corporate Relations, Luiz Carlos Tavares, these decisions mark a return to foreign audits, which have been suspended at the company for 26 months due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Tavares noted, "These qualifications demonstrate the strength of our strategy in the halal market, at a time when Iraq has canceled the ban on imports of this type of product, which has been in effect since September 2019," noting that "the halal market consists of consuming products that carry This certificate, i.e. products that have been manufactured in accordance with Islamic requirements, in addition to the presence of Muslim workers and supervisors.”
BRF is one of the largest food companies in the world, and its products are spread in 117 countries.
