    Information / translation...
Veteran BBC broadcaster Andrew Marr confirmed, on Wednesday, that the biggest mistake he made in his career was not to sufficiently object to the invasion of Iraq in 2003.
And the British website (enews) quoted Marr as saying in an interview that Marr said that “the biggest mistake in my 21 years of professional work in journalism is not challenging the invasion of Iraq enough,” describing the US-led invasion in 2003 as “one of The greatest foreign policy disaster of our time and he regretted his coverage of that war.”
And he added, “During the war, he was overly praising the actions of then-Prime Minister Tony Blair at the beginning of the war because he believed that the United States and the United Kingdom were right to intervene and overthrow Saddam’s regime, but after the atrocities became more apparent, with the increasing violence, great losses and justifications for war. I realized I was wrong about that."
He added, "What I fear now is that the political mistakes committed in Iraq will be repeated in Ukraine as well, and that the West risks embroiling itself in a long-term war with Russia with its calls for regime change by the United States and Europe."
In his assessment of current British Prime Minister Boris Johnson, the veteran broadcaster said that "there is no point in interviewing him, he doesn't really care what you ask him about and he always ends up giving an explosive speech about what he says, ignoring any questions directed at him."
He noted that the British prime minister is "an incredibly funny man and that a lot of the public have this view as well, although he indicated that this does not necessarily mean voting for him.
