The Secretary-General of the Asa'ib Ahl al-Haq movement, Qais al-Khazali, expected, on Sunday, that the name of the next prime minister will be decided before the Kurdish forces can agree on the President of the Republic, while noting that all parties and forces of the coordination framework "totally and in detail reject" the survival of the government conduct business.
Khazali said during the Eid prayer sermon, "After the Sadrist bloc left and what happened, there is no delay in forming the government," noting that "there is a real opportunity to form a government, and there is a session that will be held after Eid."
He added, "The people want a new government and a budget that approves and activates the economy, infrastructure and services. The people do not want chaos as happened in 2019," noting that "the messages that arrived from the countries of the region and major countries were clear by forming a government of national unity."
Khazali went on to say, "I am sure that if the new government works correctly, the people will support and support it and provide opportunities for its success."
Regarding the presidency, Khazali said that "there is a very big Kurdish-Kurdish dispute over the position of the president of the republic, and the depth of the dispute between the Kurdish forces is deeper than the dispute between the Shiite forces."
He pointed out that "the Shiite framework with the meeting of all Kurdish forces to resolve the position of the presidency," adding: "For us, we will not wait long to resolve the dispute over the presidency."
Regarding the premiership, Khazali said, "There is no real problem within the Shiite framework in resolving the name of the candidate for prime minister, and that resolving the issue of the premiership within the Shiite component will not be delayed."
Khazali expected that "the name of the prime minister will be decided before the Kurdish forces can agree on the president of the republic."
He pointed out that "all parties and forces of the Shiite framework reject, in whole and in detail, the survival of the caretaker government." Ended 29/N33
