Central bank auction.. high foreign remittances and low dollar cash sale
Shafak News/ The central bank's total sales of dollars for foreign remittances increased, while the demand for cash dollars in an auction today, Thursday, increased.
Shafak News Agency correspondent stated, "The Central Bank sold today, during its auction to buy and sell US dollars, 250 million and 730 thousand and 358 US dollars, which were covered by the bank at a base exchange rate of 1460 dinars per dollar.
Our correspondent added that most of these sales went to enhance balances abroad in the form of remittances and credits, which amounted to 230 million, 980 and 358 dollars, while the rest went in the form of cash sales, which amounted to 19 million and 750 thousand dollars.
Our correspondent indicated that 32 banks have met requests to enhance balances abroad, and 9 banks have responded to cash requests, in addition to 86 mediating companies.
