The leader of the State of Law coalition, Turki al-Atabi, confirmed today, Wednesday, that the next government will pledge to end the security imbalance in the sovereignty of the Iraqi airspace.
Al-Otabi said, "Protecting the Iraqi airspace is one of the important elements in the country's national security, and most of the violations take place because there are no modern air defense systems capable of shooting down hostile targets."
Al-Otabi added, "The next government is obligated to end this security flaw in light of the abundance of money through which it can purchase advanced air defense systems, including the S-400, which can create a qualitative leap in the file of defense of the airspace, including the penetration of any hostile aircraft."
