Al-Araji: The Military Industrialization Authority is required to cooperate with the countries that supported Iraq in the war
Shafaq News/ The National Security Adviser, Qassem Al-Araji, demanded on Sunday, the Military Industrialization Authority in Iraq, to cooperate with the countries that stood by the country in the war against terrorism.
This came in his speech during the opening of the exhibition of combating terrorism, special operations and cyber security, which was attended by Shafak News Agency correspondent.
Al-Araji justified the absence of the Prime Minister, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, at the exhibition, as he was preoccupied with the national dialogue, which is scheduled to take place tomorrow.
He explained that "the exhibition is important to combat terrorism, and that Iraq has to benefit from all the experiences and raise the capabilities of the security services, and we have defeated ISIS, and the rest of them still pose a threat to the country," stressing that ISIS and drugs pose a threat to the country.
Al-Araji also indicated that "the Iraqi government is determined to support the Military Industrialization Authority to transfer experiments, and benefit from developing work and preventing any security breaches to save information."
And the National Security Adviser went on to say, "We commend the political leaders for their letters of calm," stressing that "Iraq needs real dialogue and reform to resolve all existing political blockages."
He added, "The Military Industrialization Authority is required to have great duties, to benefit from experiences and to cooperate with the countries that stood by Iraq during the days of the war against terrorism," adding that "the stability of Iraq is stability for the world."
In turn, the head of the Military Industrialization Authority, Muhammad Sahib Al-Daraji, said in a speech during the opening of the exhibition, "We in the authority have to localize the military industry in the country, whether the weapons are traditional or electronic in the country."
And he indicated that Iraqi laws obligate companies to buy the local product, and we, as a country, have a clear orientation that the "software" be local, and there is no external interference in this process," noting that "the doors are open to all new ideas that enter the work of the Commission."
Al-Darraji praised "the security services' cooperation with the Military Industrialization Authority, and support for the idea of settling the military industry in Iraq."
